Press Release 4/07/2018

We are extremely disappointed by a media report this weekend, which reference Northcott House, but relate to a CQC inspection that took place over nine months ago.

Following the recommendations from the CQC in September 2017, we took immediate action to address the concerns raised by the inspectors at the time, working closely with the CQC and Hampshire County Council to immediately improve care standards.

Changes made at the home included appointing a new registered manager and deputy manager; implementing a new Digital Care Plan system to ensure record-keeping, monitoring and responsive care is delivered consistently for all residents; providing additional training for staff members where required; and providing senior management support from our Head Office for the home team on a daily basis.

These changes have now been completed and the CQC recently visited Northcott House to undertake a routine inspection. We are confident the CQC’s latest report, which will be published shortly, will show substantial improvements in our CQC rating.

We are absolutely committed to providing the high standards that our residents deserve and nothing is more important to us than the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support.
