History

Welcome to Crossways Nursing Home

Crossways is a private Nursing Home which joined the Contemplation Homes Group in April 2005.

The Home is currently registered with the Care Quality Commission to admit 27 male and female residents under the Service Category of Care Home with Nursing (N).

Home

Crossways was originally built as a residential home and was totally refurbished in 2016 to accommodate 27 residents requiring Nursing Care.

The Home comprises of 23 single bedrooms, 3 of which are en-suite and 2 shared rooms, 1 of which is en-suite. All shared rooms are divided by curtains, respecting our residents’ privacy and dignity.

There is a large lounge that has a quiet area and a second sitting room/dining room for residents, their families and friends to enjoy. Both rooms have televisions, videos, DVD with a selection of videos and tapes for general use.

We use the smaller lounge for group interactive activities and it has access to our large, attractive, well maintained and established garden with a gazebo and a covered patio for our residents to enjoy when the sun is shining. Our residents, their family and friends often have afternoon tea in the gardens.

There is also a large and varied selection of books for our residents to enjoy in enlarge and regular print.

The gardens to the rear of Crossways overlook open countryside and there is ample car parking in the grounds.

There are 3 bathrooms of which 2 have assisted baths and 1 wetroom. There are 6 toilets interspersed throughout the Home.

The bedrooms are equipped and decorated to a high standard and we encourage our residents to bring in personal items such as ornaments and photographs to enable them to feel completely at home. Families can install personal televisions and telephones as they wish.
